Glamour 2 Editorial/Avant Garde Hairstyles

Model: Sandra Johansson /// Hollywood, CA

The beginning. Working in a kitchen you have to find ways to be creative in places you haven't worked in before. I managed. Sandra was an excellent and easy to work with model that made things easier and fun.

Sandra was curled using a 1 1/4" curling iron and pinned. Then when her hair cooled down, I sprayed with hairspray and lightly brushed & teased and shaped the bangs. Then sprayed lots of more hair spray after that from a distance.

The second look (same day), I placed extensions on her crown and worked them into a ponytail. Then pinned in 1/2 inch sections of different colors pieces all around and shaped it accordingly. Don't be afraid to try something new! You can always take it out or start over. Or worst comes to worst wash it out. That hasn't happened to me - yet! And I hope it won't. I won't let it happen! :)
Here I am fixing her extensions for the shot.

A photo video I made with some of the highlights of the photo shoot. Enjoy.
